The school is under the patronage of the Catholic Bishop of Galway , Kilfenora & Kilmacduagh. The school promotes a Christian philosophy of life. The school's mission statement advocates the full & harmonious development of all pupils in a holistic way while endeavouring to foster the Catholic faith in the school community. The Catholic School provides Religious education for the pupils in accordance with the doctrines, practices and tradition of the Roman Catholic Church and promotes the formation of the pupils in the Catholic Faith.
Last year the school underwent a Whole School Evaluation and received a very favourable report, which can be viewed on the Department of Education Website.
History:
The old Doolin School was built in 1848, it was situated adjacent to the current school building. The present school was built in 1947.
Recently a new extension has been opened in
John Stack & Sons were responsible for this work. The building project commenced in September 2008 and was completed in December 2008.
